A game match between Shohoku and Tsukubu, last year's Final Eight in Kanagawa Trial and targeting to qualify for the Inter-High, not much to show but they are good at team plays. Godai, their ace and excellent three-point shooter and also the teammate of Akagi during Junior days, were giving them a taste of his three's. What's interesting is that Koichiro Nango, show-off fabulous rookie center of Tsukubu, has the same attitude of Sakuragi and challenged him whoever won the game will have Haruko as prize. Sakuragi tried his best and recorded and tied the record in most rebounds grabbed in a game with 22 rebounds. The 23rd rebound was not a count for the referee called a foul. Tsukubu's coach is a former student of Anzai-sensei. Godai was ejected in the game for unsportsmanlike. Though Tsukubu led in the first half, but diminished instantly and defeated by a margin, Shohoku won 111-79. With their victory, they have to face Fujima and and the rest of Shoyo players, a well 2nd seeded team.
