After suffering a close game loss against Kainan, Ryokufu's coach Ofuna-sensei, Michael Okita and Eri Fujisawa, manager of Ryokufu and daughter of vice-principal invited them to a practice game at Ryokufu's court. Anzai generously accepted the offer for he wants his players to regain their confidence back...knowing it's just another team. Later they've learned that Ryokufu's Club, though just formed last year, was a well scouted team! and Michael Okita was currently training in the US and draws out attention there. Ryokufu are winning and Shohoku are losing badly. Kogure was injured trying to inspire them, Akagi replaces him. Afterwards Shohoku are catching up, clock is ticking, Sakuragi after grabbing a rebound defensively, he long passed it to Akagi, this time no mistake, and made a dunk for a lead. Time expires and Shohoku won 75-74.
